OUR STORY
From Mars to Minerals
The foundation of Lunasonde began in 2018 with a simple realization. Satellite’s map every square meter of our planet on a daily basis, yet the underground has remained an enigma.
As a University of Arizona student, Jeremiah Pate sought to solve Earth's environmental hurtles by incorporating subsurface radar technology used for mapping water on Mars. After seven years of intensive R&D, Lunasonde successfully built a miniaturized and practical low-frequency radar to map deep underground and provide a proverbial MRI scan of the planet.
