Earth Mining to Asteroid Mining
Our overriding goal is to create a better Earth for all. Part of this will be accomplished through Lunasonde’s pioneering space exploration. This priority has become ever more important as the call for decarbonization takes on additional urgency and exponentially increases the demand for critical minerals. Meeting governmental mandates of transitioning whole societies to EVs away from fossil fuels, and with the accelerating adoption of AI by governments, militaries, business and industry, and people across the globe, the need for innovative, unique, and futuristic measures is imperative.
Projected Phases
Phase 0 // Sets stage for Phase I testing. Starts on Earth and continues into LEO.
Phase I // Use sensors to support Earth mining and to advance our technologies to go further on Earth and in space.
Phase II // Use new propulsion tech to test beyond Earth systems and ID additional tech needs. Find new mining targets.
Phase III // Bring samples to Earth from a near Earth asteroid. Tests the integration of Lunasonde technologies, partner technologies, and communications, with the goal of reducing expansion of existing mines.
Phase IV // Main Mission – Through proven technologies and partnerships, forge ecologically sustainable mining in space.
